RESERVOIR FLY FISHING BOOKS

RESERVOIR TROUT FLY FISHING BOOKS
Welcome to this website detailing the fly fishing books by Adrian Freer.
Fly fishing for reservoir trout is one of the greatest sports known to mankind, but to be successful it demands mastering a wide array of disciplines: casting a fly line, managing to locate the trout, knowing what the fish are taking, deciding what fly is appropriate under the prevailing conditions and how it should be retrieved, a little basic entomology - and a little 'luck' as well - the list is seemingly endless...
Nevertheless, although the list is a long one, when a hard-fighting trout is on the end of the line it is certainly more than worthwhile!
To be consistently successful there is so much to be learned and this takes time and effort. Nevertheless anything that is worth something demands our time, patience and application. It is most certainly true to say that even after a lifetime of study and practice pursuing our quarry there is still so much more to be learnt.
There will never come a point in any fly angler's career when they have learned all that there is to know!
Fly fishers are therefore fortunate that so many books to assist the beginner, improver and indeed skilled angler have been written.
Among that vast library of books there are my contributions and I hope you will find that they will enable you to progress and, above all, have 'fun' when you are fishing.
These are my books and they are offered with the desire that they will assist you in your angling pilgrimage as you participate in the most wonderful recreation known to mankind.

Reservoir Trout Flies
"We know Mr Freer from his previous works, a good, reliable chap who knows his fish, his fishing and his flies. He is frequent visitor to Eyebrook, where he has taken some splendid fish. He even has a photo of Andy Miller stocking a big trout. So we know we can depend upon his flies, that is, the flies he has already tied, shown in his book, and he tells you how you can tie them"
