WILFRED THE RABBIT AND HIS FRIENDS
Bedtime Stories for Boys and Girls
Adrian V W Freer
The adventures of Wilfred the Rabbit are simple and straightforward tales about Wilfred and his two pals: Eustace and Ronnie. Each rabbit has his own distinct personality and they all have a deep love and friendship for one another.
The stories are sixteen individual tales, complete in themselves, and they can be read in any order and they all have a happy and contented ending. As such they make ideal bedtime stories (each tale only takes a few minutes to read) and they can be re-read many times over, with the children able to choose their own favourites.
They can be read by the child, but even better by the parent to the child (or the child to the parent) and they can help form the basis of many pleasant bedtimes together.
It is hoped that in the years to come the adventures of Wilfred the Rabbit and his Friends will bring back happy and fond childhood memories.

THE PAINTINGS OF FLORENT VERSCHOOTE
Belgian (Flemish) Landscape Artist (1892-1965)
Adrian V W Freer
It is probably true to say that, relative to size of the population, there have been more Flemish painters than in any other nation in the world. Famous names such as Jan van Eyck (c.1385–1441), Pieter Bruegel the Elder (1526–1569), Pieter Brueghel the Younger (1564–1638) and Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) immediately spring to mind.
As well as those who are well known to this day there were also a great many other minor artists who were painting and recording the distinctive scenery of Flanders. History may well have all but forgotten most of them, but they were nevertheless still important figures in the history of art. Up until a couple of generations ago, painting was arguably the most popular pastime amongst countless ordinary inhabitants of the region.
This book is devoted to the paintings of one such typical Belgian/Flemish artist, Florent Verschoote (1892-1965), and it is hoped that by bringing his pictures before a wider audience it will bring about a re-evaluation of his work, and also that of other contemporary Belgian/Flemish artists of which there were a great many.
In this volume there is a biography of Florent's life, illustrations of his major works (some of which are extremely large), a selection of smaller oil paintings, some charcoal drawings and a few sketches from his notebooks.

THE MOABITE STONE AND THE HOLY BIBLE
A New Study into the Archaeological Artefact and the Bible Account
Adrian V W Freer
The Moabite Stone, also known as the Mesha Stele, is undisputedly the most valuable artefact ever to be discovered in the Middle East. It is also one of the most ancient dating from the Iron Age at around 840 BC and it contains what is the longest inscription yet known to exist written in the Moabite language.
Part of the text is parallel to a passage in the Bible and confirms the accuracy of the events recorded on both artefacts, although the accounts are written from different perspectives. This is surely a positive thing as it enables us to see both sides of the story.
It is a typical example of the time of how, in order to gain the support of their subjects, monarchs would assert that their achievements were instructed and directed by their deities and that any subsequent victories were ultimately for the glory of these false gods.
What is probably the most significant benefit of the discovery for Christians, and this is the objective of this current volume, is that although it is a pagan document, it affirms the accuracy of Holy Scripture when the Bible comes to recording historical events.
