The following table has been prepared to show the order of importance of various food creatures in the diet of reservoir trout. In each case suggested artificials to imitate/replicate/suggest them are listed. The dressings of all these patterns are to be found in the author’s Reservoir Trout Flies. All anglers will have their own particular favourites but these are some recommended suggestions.
